Frequently Asked Questions

1. Who can apply?

Anyone 18+ living in Ontario with verifiable income, an active membership, and a guarantor.

2. Is this a loan?

No. Together Rise provides interest‑free, charitable hardship support, not loans or credit products.

3. Do you run credit checks?

No. We do not run credit checks, collect SIN numbers, or report to credit bureaus.

4. Do you charge interest or fees?

No. All support is 100% interest‑free with no penalties or hidden fees.

5. Why do I need a guarantor?

A guarantor provides community accountability, not a financial guarantee. Guarantors do not undergo credit checks, do not provide collateral, and are not part of a credit agreement.

6. What happens if I miss a payment?

We will contact you and your guarantor to adjust your schedule. There are no penalties, no collections, and no credit reporting.

7. How long does approval take?

Processing takes 5 business days to 4 weeks depending on volume and verification.

8. How much support can I receive?

Support ranges from $150 to $5,000 depending on tier, verification strength, and fund availability.

9. Can I reapply after repaying?

Yes. Members in good standing may reapply once their balance is fully repaid.

10. Are membership fees refundable?

No. Membership fees are administrative and not investments or interest.

11. Where does the money come from?

Funds come from membership fees, community contributions, donations, and repayments — not from investors or lenders.

12. Do you operate under a lending license?

No. Together Rise is a charitable, non‑profit community support program, not a lender or financial institution. We do not issue credit or engage in regulated lending activities.
